it is regret to inform that our beloved ASP Shri.Chellaram singh, ASP, RO, CCR passed away on 06.04.09 morning in accident.
on 04.04.09 morning while he was driving his 2 wheeler near St Thomas Mount, suddenly a man crossed the road. to avoid smash he applied sudden brake. immediately he thrown away from bike. several injuries in his head because he did not wear helmet. immediately he rushed to balaji hospital and undergone major surgery and it was success also. but suddenly he passed away on 06.04.09 morning.

all are requested to pray for his soul may rest in peace.

ACCIDENT

GDS COMMITTEE PROPOSALS CLEARED BY THE JS&FA ON FRIDAY EVENING –
FILE IS GOING TO THE MOC&IT BEFORE ITS ONWARD TRANSMISSION TO THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE.

PAID SUBSTITUTTES AT THE MINIMUM OF GROUP D / POSTMEN WAGES + DEARNESS ALLOWANCE + GRADE PAY WITHOUT HRA– FILE CLEARED BY THE JS&FA – RELEASE OF ORDERS SOON.

File cleared by the JS & FA on the GDS Committee recommendation on Friday evening. The file has gone to Secretary [P] for signature and is expected to go the Honourable Minister of Communications & IT for approval shortly. After the MOC signing, the file will go the Ministry of Finance. it is learnt that the Gratuity amount is further increased to Rs.75,000; TRCA kept as recommended by Gopinath Committee but for GDS BPM there will be 5 stages; For other GDS there will be 2 stages for the existing and 3 stages for future recruits; Pension related issue would be decided after further considerations; and Rate of increment will be 2%. It is also learnt that instead of OMA and FSC being paid separately, these two will be clubbed together and a sum of Rs.250/- will be paid per month; Combined Duty allowance is fixed as Rs.500/- per combination. Therefore as matters stand, the proposals of the Department as cleared by the JS&FA are going to MOF & DOPT after the signature of Secretary [P] and MOC&IT. Thereafter it will go the Cabinet for approval.

it has been decided that all POs should have a signboard (in English / Hindi & local language) at the counter area with follg information.

a. pl keep ur PB and SC in your personal custody.
b. do not handover blank Wdl / Account closure forms with your signatures to any one including authrized agents.
c. do not appoint authorized agents as your messenger for wdl of money on your behalf.
d. check your balance after each transaction from the PO.
e. contact PM immediately in case of any suspected fraud.

the undersigned is directed tosay that from some time past, fraud cases relating to opening of accounts by use of bogus ATs and then misappropriation of money are being reported. to control such type of frauds, it has been decided that from 16.03.09, the transferring HPO will dispach AT by service insured post for Rs.100 duly sealed instead of Regd post. the AT recd by other than Ins post after this date. should be returned to the transferring HPO by transferee HPO for sending the same by Ins post and account should not be opened.
