Department of Posts to Ensure Timely Delivery of Rakhis - Sachin Pilot
Sh. Sachin Pilot, the Union Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology has directed department of Posts to ensure timely delivery of Rakhis on the occasion tomorrow. The Department has been part of the social fabric of our country for over a century and is fully geared to deliver highest quality of services on important occasions like Raksha Bandhan to enable women across the country to convey affection to their brothers, said Shri Pilot.
Keeping in view the significance of the festival Department of Posts has made special arrangements for timely delivery of Rakhis by the post offices in the country. He has directed the Department that special efforts be made to ensure on-time delivery to our jawans serving in far-flung areas.
The festival of Raksha Bandhan holds immense significance in India as a traditional expression of affection of sisters towards their brothers. The Department of Posts plays an important role in delivering rakhis and rakhi gifts within the country and to the growing Indian diaspora in different parts of the world.
