Respected Madam,

                        Sub:     Bi-monthly union meeting with PMG, Southern Region Madurai proposed 
                                    to be held during July 2014 – reg.
                        Ref :     PMG SR letter No SR/17-3/2014/MA dated at Madurai the 17-06-2013

            The following are the subjects to be discussed in the proposed Bi-monthly meeting to be     held during July 2014.

Subject 1:-

Request to pass TA bills of IP & ASPs in the revised eligibility as per the implementation of 6^th Pay Commission. After implementation of 5^th Pay Commission and also in 6^th Pay Commission the entitlement for “Travel by Road” had been revised and the entitlements are as below:

5th Pay Commission	Basic Pay + NPA + SI	Entitlement
	Rs4100/- to Rs6499/-	Autorickshaw/Scooter/Moped/Any Bus except AC bus.
	Rs6500/- to Rs7999/-	OrdinaryTaxi/Car/Autorickshaw/ Own Scooter/ Moped/any bus except AC bus
6th Pay Commission	Grade Pay Rs4200/-, Rs4600/- & Rs4800/-	Actual fare by any type of public bus including AC bus or Taxi or at prescribed rates for Autoriksha/ Own Scooter/ Motor Cycle/ Moped...etc

A concession given to IP and ASPs prior to implementation of 5^th and 6^th Pay Commission to travel by Scooter for local journeys (particularly for CO/RO at Chennai) have been still followed for ‘Tour TA’ by some divisions and Divisional Heads are restricting the actual traveled entitled road mileage by Scooter/Motor Cycle to 200Kms and instructing IP and ASPs to go by bus. This causes delay in performing tasks and most of the time is spent in waiting for buses. When 5^th and 6^th Pay Commissions were implemented why the IP and ASPs were not permitted to travel by their entitled mode by some Divisional Heads were not known.

This was already brought to the notice of CPMG, Tamil nadu Circle, during the four monthly meeting held on 02.07.2010 at Chennai-2 and reply was given as “Road Mileage” will be regulated as per rules on the subject.

Hence it is requested that all IP/ASPs may be permitted to perform their tour as per the entitlement class as recommended in 6th Pay Commission and their TA may be passed accordingly by the divisions.

            The following members of our Association will attend the proposed Bi-monthly meeting to be held on 10-04-2013. It is kindly requested to make necessary relief       arrangements to them.

            Subject 2:-     Request to allot sufficient fund for passing the left out PLI incentive 
                                    bills for the year 2012-13 of IP/ASP in Southern region.
