News on Group Meeting held at Madurai and Tirunelveli

Group meeting of our Association was conducted at Madurai on 15-12-2012 and Tirunelveli on 16-12-2012. 41members in southern Region have participated in the group meeting with more enthusiasm and expressed their views on the latest problems faced by the IP/ASPs in Southern Region.

1. All the members participated in the group meeting have vehemently opposed the personal attack on Circle Secretary by DPS Madurai in his reply letter to the Circle Secretary instead of considering the pleasing request placed by the Circle secretary.

2. The order of “A Daily procurement figure has to be submitted by the Sub Divisional Heads to the Assistant Divisional Manager (RPLI), Southern Region, Madurai 625 002 in his mobile number 94425 14912 from the Sub Divisional office landline Phone after 18:00 Hrs.” is also vehemently opposed by all the members as it is not possible for the Sub Divisional heads to contact more than 80 offices under the control of their Sub Division daily. Further Sub Divisional Heads are beginning their work at 08:00 Hrs in the morning and most of the days they used to end their duty at 18:00 hrs in Camp office in the evening, even the site may be beyond 20 to 30 KMs from Headquarters. In this circumstance they became very

tired and proceed to their residence after a day's hard work.

3. The statement of the Circle Secretary that “Nowadays more number of lady IP/ASPs are there in the inspectorial cadre. All of them are young mothers living in Indian culture, so normally their children used to eagerly expect their mother’s arrival to their house in the evening. Intervention in their leisurely hour when they are happy with their family will create problem in their house and spoils their children’s happiness. In last pay commission Child Care Leave was introduced to working women with an intention to spend more time with their children so as to bring the children of Govt employees in to Good Citizen of the country. But most of the lady IP/ASPs are denied child care leave.” It is appreciated by all our members.

4. Everyone has painfully protested the action of DPS Madurai for engaging Regional Office PA cadre for contacting the lady IP/ASPs on their cell phone and find their whereabouts in late hours during night. It is an insult to the cadre and further these type of action on young lady Middle level Managers is against women empowerment,  natural justice and a type of harassment on young mothers living in Indian Culture.

This issue will be taken up with our benign CPMG Tamilnadu circle to avoid such occurrence in future.

My humble request to our members is to give importance to the Organization and the growth of the Nation.  Please continue your aggressive marketing on all our products and let our cadre be always continue as a back bone of the department.
