Dear Roopchandji,

1.         This is regarding ‘indefinite strike’ call from 05.07.2011, given by the JCA of our sister trade unions. Please clarify…..

-          Whether our GS was consulted or discussed, while forming the JCA by our sister unions !

-          What was the decision taken by our GS ?

…..if no….

-          Why we are neglected by them ?

2.           We also got few of our long pending unsettled demands like…..

-          Merger of ASP with Superintendent PS Group B,

-          Up gradation of Grade pay of IPs from Rs. 4,200 to Rs. 4,600,

-          Raising of honorarium for examination invigilation duties,

-          and many more…..

3.           Hence, on behalf of our members from Tamil Nadu, I request the GS to converse with our sister unions and arrange to include our Association in that JCA. If not possible/feasible, we should also participate in the proposed indefinite strike, by giving a separate strike call/notice, on the same date.

4.           If, as defined by our higher officers, we are loyal and decided not to participate in the indefinite strike….then we may be squeezed………

-          to take charge of some HOs/SOs, during the strike period, and stay there even in the night as night chowkidhars,

-          to work in the control rooms, round ‘O’ clock, during the strike period,

-          IP/ASP, being a sub divisional head, has to monitor his sub division and hourly report need to be given to the DO/RO/CO/Dte,

-          To sell stamps and stationeries at the counters, during the strike period, to show that all the offices are working without any disturbances,

-          To book RL/Speed & issue MOs and other accountable articles, to show that the offices are kept opened & functioning during the strike period,

-          To arrange to deliver or to deliver by ourselves, speed articles, during the strike period to show that 100% delivery is effected,

-          To convey mails from MMS point to PO & vice versa, to show that mails are received and dispatched without any dislocation.

5.           All these dramas will be successfully launched by the Department and we will be the sheep goats/jokers in the said drama, with a brand name ‘loyals’.

6.         Do nay one of us, can say & assure that our Department will recognize our loyalty ? Our hard work, sincerity, loyalty, dedication etc…etc… & what not….will never & ever be recognized by our higher officers or by the Department, as a whole.

7.           GS should keep all this in mind and this is not the time to show our loyalty, but it is the time to show & prove our solidarity.
