Sub: Treatment in private recognized Hospitals without referral from AMA

The issue regarding taking treatment in private recognized hospitals without referral of AMA was examined i HQrs office on a reference received from CDA Chennai. In this connection it is stated that the practice of insisting upon the referral of AMA before taking treatment in private recognized hospitals is correct and as per provisions of CSMA rules.
