As
part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Evangelical Church of
India,Kilpauk, Chennai-10 a special Postal cover and MY Stamp was
released by Dr Charles Lobo,IPoS, Chief Postmaster General, Tamilnadu
Circle on 01 June 2016 at YMCA Nandanam, Chennai-600 035. Presided by the Most Rev Dr. M.Ezra Sargunam,
Bishop- President received the special Cover and My stamp.
The
ECI was founded in Allahabad in 1956, and shifted to Madras that year. Since
then, it functions at Kilpauk.
Dr
Charles Lobo said the Department of Posts issued such postal covers on special
occasions. Under "My Stamp", a person can have their image
printed on a stamp and used it as postage.
More
than 7000 members of the ECI from Various parts of the country took
Part.
